Cleanup and Restoration for Artwork and Books

Nothing can be more devastating after a disaster than discovering paintings nearly destroyed or stumbling across long cherished books which have been damaged. SERVPRO® of Chesterfield, Tri-Cities and Newport News professionals know exactly what to do to strive to save and restore such valuables.

Artwork

Artwork can consist of fragile surfaces of pastels, charcoals, and watercolors to canvas paintings with oil pigments and acrylics. Fire-damaged artwork restoration will fall into one of two categories:

• The skill of a trained art restorer (known as a conservator). Our professionals will usually subcontract fine art restoration to a conservator.

• Restoration of less expensive art, not requiring specialized services but the assist
ance of our trained SERVPRO® technicians in our facilities.
Books for restoring the books using various methods:
• Type of construction
